Weatherford FUMC actively participates in United Women in Faith.
Purpose
The organization unit of United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Membership
Membership shall be open to any woman who indicates her desire to belong and to participate in the global mission of the church through United Women in Faith.
United Women in Faith (UWF) currently has a daytime circle that meets monthly on the second Tuesday at noon from Aug. through May in the Activity Room a the Weatherford Pioneer Center (1000 Gartrell Place). We also schedule special events for summer fellowship and study. Due to their schedule or work some members connect electronically and help with various missions/projects of the UWF. Let UWF know if you would be interested in attending an evening circle for younger women who need to schedule around work or family care needs.

Your Presence is Needed!
As we start this new year – I would like to share the Purpose and Mission Statement of United Women in Faith as we address the needs of women, children and youth in our lives.
The organized unit of the United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of Mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The Mission Statement continues with “we seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire local and global communities.
If you are not in a group that can provide you fellowship with the women in our church and community, then please consider coming and participating. If you need to be back to work by 1:00 p.m., we try to have our program done by 12:50 p.m. Come and try us out! If you are not able to come to a daytime meeting, visit with Faye Henson, Madella Shelton, or Paige Craighead and let them know that there is interest in having an evening circle or alternative meeting time for a new younger/working group of women.
