LENTEN PILGRIMAGE
TO THE CROSS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
If you travel on I-40 through the Texas Panhandle, you can’t miss the truly remarkable “Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” near Groom, Texas. Standing proudly and firmly in the middle of a pasture, the metal cross monument rises nearly 20-stories (190 feet) in the sky. Since its creation in 1995, other exhibits have been added alongside the cross, including a walking tour of the 14 stations of the cross, a replica of the empty tomb, and a presentation on the shroud of Turin. More information on the cross can be found HERE.
What better way to remind ourselves of the hardships Christ endured for us? This Lent, come with your church on the journey to the cross.
