Rev Allen Carson

Senior Pastor

As an Oklahoma foster care alumni, Allen has spent the past three and half decades working with children, youth, and young adults in foster care and juvenile justice programs. He has tutored and mentored in juvenile detention centers and alternative schools, and currently serves as a trainer and consultant with the Evolution Foundation and Oklahoma Systems of Care focusing on strengthening community partnerships, with an emphasis on partnerships with social service agencies and faith communities. He leads independent living workshops and training sessions for youth and adults.

His work within the church has emphasized building churches’ relationships with people at the margins to offer spiritual, emotional, and material resources. As an Oklahoma foster care alumni, he is often asked to speak on issues related to the foster care system, share ways communities can help youth and young adults with transition services, behavioral and mental health issues, and share his personal story. The Church, Teachers, and Mentors had a profound impact on Allen’s journey from foster care into adulthood.

Allen’s personal interests include spending time with family, cheering for the Sooners and Chiefs, working on cars and car stereos, going to car shows, and binge watching Netflix and Disney+.

Kelley Ramey

Finance Director

Youth Director

Kelley has graciously and wonderfully led our youth program since June 2005. Prior to being youth director, Kelley worked at a local CPA firm that she dearly loved for twelve years. She struggled with giving up her love for accounting to go do something she had no clue about. After wrestling with God for a while, she applied for the position. She never knew what joy she would find in leading youth. Kelley enjoys helping guide youth on their faith journeys and loves seeing lives transformed. Her favorite thing is having youth come back after they graduate and help with various youth activities. Aside from her duties as youth director in our local church, Kelley helps dean junior and senior high CLUE at Canyon Camp during the summer and is the Cimarron District Youth Coordinator.

In May 2021, the opportunity came for Kelley to become the Financial Director and she jumped at the chance to be reconnected to her love of accounting. Kelley feels very blessed to being two things she dearly loves. She is married to Royce and they have three beautiful daughters: Melissa, Michelle, and Miranda.

Mason Carman

Director of Christian Involvement

Director of Children’s Ministries

Mason’s faith journey started when he began to attend the after school program here at the Weatherford First United Methodist Church in the 3rd grade with his sister, Madison. As time went on, he continued to attend the after school program and eventually started to participate in the youth group. He was very active in the youth program from the 6th-12th grades and learned a lot.

Mason says that he is not a perfect Christian, but he tries to serve God the best way he knows how. He loves getting to be the Children’s Ministry Director as well as the Christian Involvement Director at the church where his faith journey began. He has made it his goal to do his best to make sure the children that come to the Weatherford First United Methodist Church also have a great start to their own faith journeys and to have as many members possible to help make that happen.

In addition, he is active in the Weatherford Rotary Club and has served on the YMCA board for more than a decade, where he can be found most days doing his regular mile and half swim. His children and grandchildren also live here in Weatherford and attend FUMC.

Christopher returned to Weatherford in 2020 and provided much of the vocal music during that period when services were recorded and people were unable to worship together in person. He formally joined the staff in the fall of 2022 when Maxine Page took a well deserved rest from directing the Chancel Choir.

She also works part-time at Corn Heritage Village.

“As music therapy students, we do field studies with a different population every semester. We create, write, and lead music therapy sessions under the supervisor assigned to oversee us. One group that has really touched my heart in these sessions are those in the memory care settings… This population, particularly those affected with Alzheimer’s have a special place in my heart. My grandfather had Alzheimer’s and seeing how difficult it was for him stuck with me. I am so honored and excited to do what I can to contribute to improved quality of life and overall enrichment in this new program at FUMC.” – Bailey Hanes
