Rev Chuck Horton
Senior Pastor

Rev. Chuck Horton began his ministry at Weatherford FUMC on July 1, 2021.
“I believe that God is as alive as ever, as loving as ever, and as powerful as ever. God yearns for all people to receive the Abundant Life that comes through Jesus Christ. This new life includes the forgiveness of our sins, the restoration of our relationships with God and others, and the gifts from his Holy Spirit that enable us to do ministry in partnership with him.”
-Rev. Chuck Horton
Pastor Chuck is married to Nancy, his wife of 44 years. They were college sweethearts, and their family includes four adult daughters and their husbands, and ten grandchildren. Their greatest joy is serving Christ together. Many times they have been blessed with front-row seats as they have witnessed God do awesome things in people’s lives. Their unceasing prayer is that God will use them at any time of his choosing, at any place of his choosing, to bless anyone of his choosing.
Some of their ministry is “planned” and some is “unplanned” as they try to always be ready to follow God’s leading. They have done ministry in churches, jails, parks, hospitals, stores, on city sidewalks and anywhere else that God opens opportunities for ministry. Whether Pastor Chuck is preaching to groups or ministering to people one at a time, his prayer is from the familiar hymn: “O use me, Lord, use even me, just as thou wilt, and when, and where, until thy blessed face I see, thy rest, thy joy, thy glory share!”
Chuck is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and has served as a pastor for 46 years, including a six-year stint as a district superintendent in Oklahoma.
He says, “As far as hobbies and interests go, there is no one thing I am interested in. I like history, reading, traveling, movies, camping, carpentry, yard-work, art, hanging around with young people, going on mission trips, my family, spending time with my wife, and when I have time I like to cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nancy and I have visited all 50 states, and hope to travel to the Holy Land someday.”
“If you are looking for a church fellowship to be a part of, we’d love for you to make Weatherford FUMC your church home; and if you have no pastor for you and your family, it would be an honor to me to be able to be your pastor. Grace & Peace to you.”

Kelley Ramey
Finance Director
Youth Director

Kelley has graciously and wonderfully led our youth program since June 2005. Prior to being youth director, Kelley worked at a local CPA firm that she dearly loved for twelve years. She struggled with giving up her love for accounting to go do something she had no clue about. After wrestling with God for a while, she applied for the position. She never knew what joy she would find in leading youth. Kelley enjoys helping guide youth on their faith journeys and loves seeing lives transformed. Her favorite thing is having youth come back after they graduate and help with various youth activities. Aside from her duties as youth director in our local church, Kelley helps dean junior and senior high CLUE at Canyon Camp during the summer and is the Cimarron District Youth Coordinator.
In May 2021, the opportunity came for Kelley to become the Financial Director and she jumped at the chance to be reconnected to her love of accounting. Kelley feels very blessed to being two things she dearly loves. She is married to Royce and they have three beautiful daughters: Melissa, Michelle, and Miranda.
Mason Carman
Director of Christian Involvement
Director of Children’s Ministries

Mason’s faith journey started when he began to attend the after school program here at the Weatherford First United Methodist Church in the 3rd grade with his sister, Madison. As time went on, he continued to attend the after school program and eventually started to participate in the youth group. He was very active in the youth program from the 6th-12th grades and learned a lot.
Mason says that he is not a perfect Christian, but he tries to serve God the best way he knows how. He loves getting to be the Children’s Ministry Director as well as the Christian Involvement Director at the church where his faith journey began. He has made it his goal to do his best to make sure the children that come to the Weatherford First United Methodist Church also have a great start to their own faith journeys and to have as many members possible to help make that happen.
